Buying An Aircraft FAQ’s
Here are some general questions we often get asked.
Value Added Tax (VAT) is a UK tax applicable in the United Kingdom. Most commonly if an aircraft is + VAT it will be owned by a UK registered business. In most cases if you are exporting the aircraft internationally you will not need to pay VAT. Please feel free to give us a call to discuss your individual circumstances.
Absolutely! And for a lot less than you may expect. We have our own team of ferry pilots that can deliver the aircraft anywhere around the world. We will also support and advice on all the relevant paperwork and requirements.
We follow a standard but robust process. You can see more here but in brief:
1) You express an interest and discuss the aircraft and arrange to go a view the aircraft at its home base.
2) You submit your offer to us and we negotiate with the seller.
3) Upon acceptance of your offer we arrange a deposit (Usually 10%) to be held in escrow / client account along with a purchase agreement.
4) You can then arrange your pre-purchase inspection/test flight.
5) Upon acceptance of PPI the final funds and paperwork are transferred.
6) Pivotal can then support you as the buyer with delivery and any other requirements you may have.
Absolutely. We have partnerships with leading manufacture approved training schools. We can provide class ratings, transitions training or simply a safety pilot / instructor to build confidence on your new aircraft.
